In a landmark moment, QSM Semiconductores celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in the municipality of Corregidora, Querétaro. Authorities have affirmed that this is the only company nationwide dedicated to the development of semiconductor chips.

The Mexican company boasts three business units: the Center for Engineering and Innovation (CEI2), the Integrated Circuit Design Center (CEDIC), and the chip manufacturing plant (FAB1). This strategic setup positions QSM Semiconductores to meet both national and international demand for semiconductors, covering the entire process from design to manufacturing.

Global Semiconductor Market Potential

According to information provided by authorities, the global semiconductor market is projected to reach a value of one trillion U.S. dollars in the next five years. In Mexico alone, the estimated value is up to 36 billion dollars.

Alejandro Franco Rodríguez, CEO of QSM Semiconductores, emphasized the creation of high-specialty jobs for professionals such as doctors, teachers, and engineers. This commitment ensures that talent not only stays in Mexico but is particularly nurtured in Querétaro, notably in Corregidora.

Local Pride

Roberto Sosa Pichardo, Mayor of Corregidora, expressed his gratitude to the company's leadership, stating, "You are creating and believing in the municipality of Corregidora, and I appreciate that. In addition to the Los Ángeles industrial park, we have developments in El Pueblito and a new one on the toll road to Celaya. Investments keep coming to the municipality, and that fills us with pride."
