Mexico at the Paris Air Show 2025: Aerospace Innovation and Talent on the Global Stage
June 17, 2025
The 2025 Paris Air Show, held from June 16 to 22 in Le Bourget, France, marks a milestone in Mexico’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the global aerospace industry. The Mexican mission kicked off with a welcome reception organized by the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA) at the Embassy of Mexico in France. The event was attended by key figures including Blanca Jiménez Cisneros, Mexico’s Ambassador to France; Altagracia Gómez Sierra, Head of the Presidential Business Advisory Council; Farid Hannan, Director General for Economic Coordination at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE); and Luis Lizcano, CEO of FEMIA.
A Strategic Industry for Mexico
The aerospace sector has become one of Mexico’s most strategic industries, with steady growth over the past decades. Today, Mexico ranks as the sixth-largest aerospace manufacturing supplier in the world, recognized for its technological capabilities, specialized talent, and high-quality standards.
Participation in high-profile events like the Paris Air Show allows Mexico to strengthen strategic alliances, attract foreign investment, and expand its presence in key markets. The country is home to more than 300 aerospace companies, concentrated in regions such as Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Yucatán, Querétaro, Baja California, and Oaxaca—all of which are represented at this year’s show. These delegations aim to showcase Mexico’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, and talent development, all critical factors for global competitiveness.
Mexico’s Objectives at the Paris Air Show
The primary goal of the Mexican delegation is to foster international collaboration and promote Mexican talent in a dynamic and innovation-driven environment. Mexico is also focused on strengthening its position in strategic areas such as electromobility, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), artificial intelligence in aviation, and high-precision components manufacturing.
Mexico’s presence at Le Bourget not only reaffirms its commitment to the growth of the aerospace sector but also paves the way for new business opportunities. By positioning itself as a hub of innovation and talent, Mexico is establishing itself as a key player in the future of aviation.
