Medline Industries to Invest $250 Million in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas

Medline Industries, the U.S.-based company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of medical supplies, will invest $250 million to build a new facility in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
In recent days, Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, held a meeting with the company’s General Manager, Yogesh Wadhera, leading to the announcement.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new complex, which will create 3,000 direct jobs and 600 indirect jobs, is scheduled for today.
Medline is a manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of medical and surgical products for healthcare institutions and retail channels, operating in 125 countries worldwide.
Medline México is making significant inroads in the country’s medical industry, providing high-quality products and generating thousands of jobs. The company currently operates two manufacturing sites and a sterilization plant in Mexicali, Baja California, another facility in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and a sales office in Mexico City.
