Medline contributes to the industrial growth of Nuevo Laredo

Medline, the second larger employer of the manufacturing industry in Nuevo Laredo, is projecting the construction of a new sterilizer industrial building for 2019 in the Oradel Industrial Park, with an important investment in a medium term which talks about the economic vitality this border represents.

Medline will invest 20 million dollars inside its current facilities in the Oradel Park, to generate 600 new jobs from June to December 2018, with larger investments programmed in a medium term.

During a visit held to the city hall of Nuevo Laredo, last April 19th, Medline vice-president, Raul Cardenas, and the plant manager, Joaquin Racher, presented the mayor Enrique Rivas Cuellar with the new development project of the company.

There they knew the incentives granted by the Municipal and State Governments, for the companies that decide to invest and contribute thus with the generation of new job sources which translate in more economic and social development in the city.

The company which is focused in the manufacturing of surgical products, medical devices and plastic injections, among others, was established in 1990 in Nuevo Laredo and currently has 3,600 direct jobs.  After Delphi, is the second company generating jobs in the city.

At the meeting were also present the secretary of Economic Development, Francisco Javier Solis Morales and the director of Industrial Development and Foreign Trade, Roberto Huerta.
