McAllen International Airport to Launch Three Daily Direct Flights to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

Starting April 2024, McAllen International Airport in Texas will offer three daily direct flights to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Delta Air Lines will operate the route, with schedules tailored to provide seamless connectivity between South Texas and the state capital.

Joe Espósito, Executive Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, stated that this route represents a key gateway to various business, leisure, and cultural opportunities.

Business Sector

McAllen Mayor, Javier Villalobos, acknowledged the benefits for the business sector, saying, "This route will connect our McAllen community to business, educational opportunities, family, and friends. It will be a convenient, non-stop service to the capital of Texas that was much needed, and we are proud to operate it in the spring of 2024."

Ticket sales commenced on December 16, 2023. With the opening of the new route, Jeremy Santoscoy, Aviation Director of McAllen International Airport, mentioned, "McAllen International Airport will now connect travelers non-stop to another part of the great state of Texas, and moreover, it will be another gateway to the rest of the world."
