McAllen Economic Development Corporation (McAllen EDC) Introduces New Director of Workforce Development

The McAllen Economic Development Corporation (McAllen EDC) introduced its new Director of Workforce Development, Josh Vasquez, who joins the team with extensive experience in the business and economic development sectors.

Vasquez brings over 15 years of expertise in business promotion, investments, incentives, and hiring.

Volunteer Work

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Vasquez has actively contributed to the McAllen and South Texas community by participating in various non-profit organizations. He has also volunteered with community groups for the past two decades.

In 2019, he received the Extra Mile Award from the Texas Veterans Commission for his outstanding contributions to the Rio Grande Valley veterans' community.

Workforce Focus

With a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's in public administration currently in progress, Vasquez is well-equipped to lead McAllen EDC's workforce development initiatives.
