Mars Wrigley opens its regional hub; will coordinate the operations of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean from Querétaro

Mars Wrigley opened its regional hub in Querétaro to extend control of its operations from Mexico to all of Central America and the Caribbean .
The company decided to expand its offices in Queretaro because it considers the region to be one of the most important in terms of sales level and growth potential worldwide. Mars calls these areas Global Emerging Markets , which it has divided into six clusters, covering around 180 countries around the world.
“For 30 years since Mars arrived in Querétaro , we have grown and evolved with the state. This new hub fills us with enthusiasm, not only because it shows that our commitment to Mexico is long-term, but also because Querétaro becomes a strategic point for the operation of the emerging markets region for Mars Wrigley ”, commented Blas Maquivar , president of Emerging Markets of this division, during the inauguration of the newly remodeled offices. The renovated space will receive 300 associates every day.
Likewise, the new offices include a larger dining room, an outdoor terrace to establish connections with other associates and recharge, meeting rooms, a Quiet Room , a space for concentration and mindfulness, connection areas for teamwork, a Pet Friendly area and a games room to relax.
“At Mars we are convinced that the future of work lies in a hybrid model, where we can find a better life balance. [Therefore], in addition to the changes to our offices, we continue to promote initiatives that recognize the strengths and unique contributions of our associates, which is why we created chapters, including WoMars , to reach the maximum potential of Marsian women; Parenting , to maintain a balance between being parents and professionals; Pride , to contribute to the construction of a diverse and inclusive culture, among others”, added Gabriel Fernández , CEO of Mars Wrigley LAN .
It was also announced that these offices will host two pilot programs that reinforce the culture of diversity and inclusion promoted by the company: the 60+ program, which seeks to provide job opportunities for the elderly, and the second proposal is the new cafeteria Within its facilities, managed by the Manos Capaces AC Foundation Through Manos Cafeteras , formal work is offered with legal benefits to young people and adults with intellectual disabilities.
BUSINESS
Mars Wrigley is the chocolate, candy, gum and mints division of the family-owned Mars company , which encompasses such brands as M&M, Snickers, Turin, Orbit, Lucas, Skwinkles and Skittles.
This investment joins the one that a few days ago (February 23) announced its Mars Petcare division , which consists of 100 million dollars for the expansion of its wet food production plant, located in El Marqués, Querétaro .
