MAPEI Mexico opened its plant with an investment of 130 million pesos

With a total investment of 130 million pesos was held the update and capability expansion of the adhesives and finishes producer plant of MAPEI, Italian company located in Zimapan, Hidalgo.

The construction industry achieved an investment of 62 million pesos directed to infrastructure only, as well as other 63 millions in technology.

MAPEI specializes in the manufacturing of 180 products, among which standout adhesives, additives, waterproofing, nozzles, paints, pastes and industrial floors.

The opening of this plant contributed to the generation of 65 direct jobs in operation areas and 160 indirect ones.

At the formal event were present Omar Fayad Meneses, governor of the State of Hidalgo, who noted that with such investment, MAPEI will trigger the economic development of the Zimapan region in Hidalgo.

“This investment is very important since it adds to others we currently have; we decided to diversify, turning to see countries from Europe, Asia, South America, Canada, this aimed to settle investment opportunities for the state of Hidalgo, and fortunately we are achieving this, you are a living proof of that,” he noted.

Finally, the governor recognized MAPEI for joining the total figure of 46 thousand millions of foreign investment, representing the highest figure on investment in the state of Hidalgo.

Likewise, during his participation, Jose Luis Romo Cruz, secretary of Economic Development of the State of Hidalgo recognized the joint work aimed to achieve this investment.

“During November 2016 we gathered here, with mining businessmen and MAPEI, at that meeting we were able to know this place and the plan of how this plant was going to be started,” he explained.

“We sat down with the dean of the Universidad Tecnologica, and on that time we settled to begin a close relation between the educational sector and MAPEI, from there this synergy began, it is very important for these opportunities to remain in the State, and for young people studying in universities, today we are here telling MAPEI’s success stories,” he ended.

 Meanwhile, Erik Marte Rivera Villanueva, mayor of Zimapan, recognized the joint work being developed within the private sector, anticipating the investment of more than 130 million pesos of MAPEI.
