Lourdes Cobos has become the first woman to preside over the Coahuila Automotive Industry Cluster for the 2025-2026 term, marking a milestone in the pursuit of greater inclusion in an industry historically dominated by men.

Cobos, who serves as Plant Director at Turbo BorgWarner Ramos Arizpe, stated that her goal is to serve as a bridge for more women to access strategic roles in the sector.
"Female leadership drives innovation, growth, and a competitive future for the automotive industry. Collaboration between companies and industry leaders is essential to transforming the current landscape. Today, as President of the Cluster and Plant Director, I want to inspire more women to show that barriers can be overcome with effort and vision."

With over two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Lourdes Cobos has built a career that combines technical excellence with strategic vision. She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and has held key roles in manufacturing engineering, quality, and product launches.

BorgWarner, a global mobility solutions company, reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and diversity. Currently, 30.1% of its workforce is composed of women, with a goal of reaching 35% by 2026.
