LG Electronics will expand its production lines at its Reynosa, Tamaulipas plant, launching a $100 million investment plan.

"We will continue in Reynosa to grow and contribute to both society and the state," said Sun Hyouk Hong, President of LG Reynosa, during a facility tour accompanied by company executives, Governor Américo Villarreal, state authorities, and representatives from economic development organizations, including Index Reynosa.

Meanwhile, Walter Rico, LG's Foreign Trade Manager, highlighted that this location benefits the company due to its proximity to the Pacific logistics corridor and distribution centers in the United States.

"All these factors make Reynosa highly competitive for production and product distribution," explained Rico.

This expansion of operations will create 500 direct jobs and 800 indirect jobs.

The South Korean company’s complex consists of four industrial buildings, employing 1,064 workers, including 895 operators responsible for manufacturing televisions for markets in the United States, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Panama.
