The Pocket Park León industrial park, located in the southern part of León, Guanajuato, within the Ciudad Industrial subdivision, has officially opened. The park spans 23 hectares and will host both national and international companies, with the potential to generate around 2,500 jobs.

José Ma. Garza Treviño, President of Grupo GP Construcción y Desarrollos, highlighted that they currently operate eight Pocket Park developments.

"This will be the first one outside of Nuevo León. We offer tailor-made solutions—not only leasing, but also construction services. Here in Guanajuato, we have participated in major projects such as Michelin and Pepsi," he explained.

This new park encompasses 27 hectares and is strategically located: just 5 kilometers from the city of León, 25 kilometers from Bajío International Airport (in Silao), 166 kilometers from the state of Querétaro, 478 kilometers from Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, 372 kilometers from Mexico City, and 904 kilometers from Laredo, Texas.

One of the defining features of these parks is that they are more compact than traditional industrial parks. The Pocket Park concept was created and launched by GP Desarrollos in 2019. Their smaller size allows them to be located along major roadways and near residential areas, making them highly accessible and strategically positioned.

Guanajuato’s governor, Libia Dennise García Muñoz, emphasized the importance of this project as a sign of the confidence investors have in the state, thanks to its solid economic policies and rule of law that support industrial development.

“There is a great deal of uncertainty due to tariff measures following the renegotiation of the USMCA. However, here in Guanajuato, we feel well-prepared to continue attracting investment. In the first six months of this administration alone, we have secured 12 investment projects totaling more than 2 billion dollars and the creation of 4,343 jobs,” she stated.

Competitive Advantages of Pocket Park León:

  • Located in León, a major industrial hub in the Bajío region.
  • Easy access to the León–Aguascalientes highway.
  • Close proximity to Guanajuato International Airport.
  • Availability of skilled labor.
  • Near residential zones, reducing commute times.
  • Connectivity to major transportation routes.
  • Advanced surveillance and security systems.
  • Optimized park maintenance.
  • Sustainable infrastructure.
