Lear Corporation announces expansion at its Zacatecas plant; will generate 600 jobs

The American company Lear Corporation will expand its production capacity in Zacatecas, for which it will be investing 160 million pesos and which will allow the generation of 600 new formal jobs .
This capital injection is focused on expanding the plant installed in the Morelos I Airport Industrial Park , which currently has 2,700 employees and in a period of months, will exceed 3,000.
Mario Espinoza, plant manager of Lear Corporation , and Noé Cepeda, director of Operations, stated that the company manufactures car seats and electrical systems , opened its doors in Zacatecas in 2016, with just 100 jobs.
In addition, initially, it supplied two clients and currently supplies six brands, hence the new investment will be reflected in an expansion of 30,000 square feet.
It should be noted that the Secretary of the Economy gave recognition to Lear Corporation for being an inclusion company, since it offers workspaces to senior citizens and people with disabilities.
During the announcement, Rodrigo Castañeda Miranda, head of the Ministry of Economy, recognized Lear Corporation for trusting in this state and growing its investments.
