Located in the Industrial area of San Pedrito Penuelas, in the city of Queretaro, KSB is a German company with 60 year of history in Mexico and 50 years in the State, dedicated to the production of valves and hydraulic pumps for the industry.

The 18,000 m² plant highlights for having different processes in a single location.  “We have our own foundry, engine workshop, pumps workshops, assembly, testing and service,” commented in an interview Philipp Gaudlitz, general director of KSB de Mexico.

KSB de Mexico houses 135 workers in the plant, but it has 150 nationally.  Worldwide it generates more than 16,000 jobs and is present in 100 countries and has plants in 25 nations where they produce 1,000 different types of pumps.

“The main customers we have are the ones managing water systems, for example, CEA de Queretaro.  However, we also provide our products to other industry sectors such as mining, automotive, chemical, energy and construction,” assured Philip Gaudlitz, who detailed that the company is known not only in Mexico and Germany, but in the entire world.

The directive commented that annually are produced about 1,200 equipment.  One part of the production is exported to some countries in South America, such as Chile and Argentina.

On the other hand, the general director of KSB de Mexico commented that they are currently investing in the Queretaro plant as part of their growth and renovation strategy.

Moreover he noted that part of the components processes, such as engine spooled, are fulfilled in an artisan manner by taking advantage of the excellent workforce, but he added that they also use forefront technology for other processes.

“Engineering is made in Germany.  Here we have engineering, but they are focused in making changes for customers, adapting the equipment.  The specialty here is submersible engines, which are engines that internally have water and it is a very interesting technology,” said the directive.

HEALTHY WORKING LIFE

For KSM de Mexico, as a family company, the human capital is fundamental part of its integration that is why every new personnel is trained from two to three weeks on their training center.

“I really like working in Mexico, it is a country with capable people and with a good education.  In addition of having a big commitment with the company and an example of that are the will with which they perform their job.  We are very happy here, as we have great labor coexistence,” said the German businessmen, highlighting that they are still looking for qualified personnel.

Finally, he said that the company keeps a relation with universities regarding the linkage issue, since for KSB is important the formation of students at least for six months.

Quality in the company operation is fundamental, for that, KSB is certified in ISO standards, in quality as well as in environmental issues.
