With an investment of 200 million dollars , Kohler began the construction of its fourth production plant in Nuevo León .

The new manufacturing complex is expected to start operations in July 2023; it will be in an area of 25 hectares and will be generating around 1,600 jobs in the next 10 years

Present at the groundbreaking ceremony were Norbert Schmidt, senior vice president of Operations for Kohler 's Kitchen and Bath division ; Tom Paulus, Kohler's vice president of Keys and Metals operations, Francisco Treviño, mayor of Juárez, as well as Iván Rivas Rodríguez, head of the Nuevo León Ministry of Economy.

The plant is the fourth operations center that Kohler operates in the region and the first in Latin America to manufacture faucet products .

Norbert Schmidt mentioned that from this plant they will be able to satisfy the growing demand of the retail and construction markets; so they will turn it into a smart and high-tech plant like robots.

In addition, it will have key sustainability measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, water use and solid waste; therefore, they are evaluating the implementation of alternative energy strategies.
