Kerry opens his GBS Americas in Querétaro; will serve the entire continent

The Kerry company officially started operations of its Global Business Services (GBS) Americas in Querétaro .
The facilities of this Digital Services and Solutions Center are located in the Empresalia corporate campus , in the capital of Querétaro. From there, the company "leader in flavor and nutrition" will offer various services in areas such as human resources, regulatory improvement, finance, marketing, customer service, supply chains and data management, among others, for the entire American continent.
During the opening ceremony, Marcelo Marques , general director and president of Kerry in Latin America , spoke about why they chose this city to open their second GBS in the world, which operates in a first phase with 300 employees.
"Querétaro was chosen as the headquarters for our Global Business Services because of its strategic location that facilitates services throughout the Americas . The region is also home to the best talent in the country, which we now welcome to Kerry . We are delighted to create 300 positions of work and support communities throughout the region. I am also proud to say that we have achieved a 50/50 gender balance in the center, as part of Kerry 's gender goals, "he said.
In the Queretano GBS they plan to open 100 more jobs, during the first quarter of 2023.
With this opening, Querétaro joins Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia , a city that hosts the other Global Business Services of Kerry , in which they serve the Eurasia region , in about 15 different languages.

The company of Irish origin celebrated its 50th anniversary. In the last 30 years they have had a presence in Latin America , a region that has become "an important part of the Kerry story, " said Peter Janse , leader of Kerry 's GBS Americas .
Around the world, the company employs 22,000 people, but in Latin America alone they have 2,700 employees.
Likewise, the group has 152 production plants, 14 of them are located in this region of the continent.
"Every two years we invest in a new acquisition in Latin America , hence the importance of the area for the company," said the manager.
The inaugural event was attended by Stéphane Alby , GBS Vice President of Kerry Group ; Maeve von Heynitz , Irish ambassador to Mexico ; Irina Anaya, general manager of Kerry Mexico ; Steve Butter , Director General of the Commercial Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands ; Marco del Prete Tercero , Secretary of Sustainable Development of Querétaro ; and Luis Nava , municipal president of Querétaro .
