The NKP Mexico company opened a new warehouse in Guanajuato Puerto Interior (GPI), for which they invested 8.5 million pesos and will generate just over 200 direct jobs in five years.

This new warehouse corresponds to the second investment made by the Japanese company in the state, since its first plant and office is located in the municipality of Apaseo el Grande, which began operations in 2013; for 2017 they settled in Silao with a rented warehouse that has the capacity of 8,000 m2.

NKP Mexico is a Japanese company that is dedicated to the logistics sector and is part of the Nikkon Holdings Groups, which has a presence in 10 countries.

In Mexico, it has a presence in the states of Jalisco, Tamaulipas and Guanajuato, with the purpose of offering international transport services, storage, repair of racks, sub-assembly operation, maritime transport and auto parts service operation.

Enrique García, director at NKPM, said that this warehouse in its first phase has 11,284 m2, but it is projected that in its second stage it will reach 21,000 m2; and that will be added in the offer of logistics solutions to its customers in processes of import and export of products.

Among its client portfolio is Honda de México, Corporación Mitsuba de México, KBK México and Nippon Paint Automotive Coatings México.

Garcia stressed that one of the advantages that the Japanese company has is that they have the C-TPAT certification, which aims to guarantee the safety of export shipments mainly to the United States.

"This certification ensures that the merchandise that travels with us is completely safe and the customs procedure becomes easier for customers, because they manufacture the products, we receive the merchandise and distribute it where they indicate," he said.

For his part, Takizawa Kazuhiro, president of Honda Mexico, reiterated that for years they have had a good commercial relationship with Nikkon Hondings Groups, a company that has offered them logistics solutions, so they believe that this new warehouse will help each other's goals of your customers

"These facilities will become a logistics center for the Bajío region and I trust that this will continue for many years, so I am proud to be a business partner," he said.

Masakatsu Kuroiwa, president of Nikkon Hondings Japan, mentioned that the decision to invest in Guanajuato was to expand its coverage, since GPI is an industrial park where companies from different countries are located, which represents business opportunities.
