ITT Italian company to be settled in GPI

ITT Motion Technologies opened its plant at Guanajuato Inland Port with an investment of 60 million dollars and will generate 300 new jobs, in the municipality of Silao, Guanajuato.  Regarding this, Cesare Savini, general director of plant ITT Motion Technologies Silao, said that the idea of creating this plant to serve North America was seemed practical given that most of their customers are located in this area and the best decision was to take Guanajuato as a strategic point.

“In April 2017 the project was to deliver balatas to our customers, we started the construction of this plant in Guanajuato on April 2016, in January 2017 the production started in order to finally achieve the objective of commercializing our first balata for our customers.”

Denisse Ramos, CEO and president of ITT, said that the movement technology business used by the company is focused in original manufacturers, local and global; therefore it continues to be the strongest of ITT.

“We thought how we could develop success and what we did was to continue our approach based on time, analyze where the customer is going so we can innovate and grow together with them, this allowed us discovering the automotive HUB installed in Guanajuato and the capability we would have by being closer of our customers,” she said.

She explained that they chose Silao, because of its high representability as regional center for automotive manufacture, in addition of offering more proximity to the main OEM’s and a high level of local competences, including reliable partners for the development and construction of the factory.

In 2017 there was a profit of 2.6 billion dollars, by positioning as the fifth plant worldwide in balatas production.

This company has global presence in Barge, Italy, on the main venues of technology production for cars; in the Czech Republic and in Wuxi, China. Their potential customers are General Motors, Volkswagen and Ford.

The Firm, headquarter in White Plains, New York, with employees in more than 35 countries and sales in 125 nations, and is confident in that they will be selling two thousand four hundred million dollars in technologies this year again.
