Infinitum Electric Opens High-Efficiency Electric Motor Plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila

Infinitum Electric inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, a facility that reinforces the company’s industrial expansion strategy in North America and strengthens the presence of advanced technology in the region. The company will manufacture high-efficiency electric motors, a key technology in the global energy transition.

Founded by entrepreneur Ben Schuler, Infinitum Electric developed a technological innovation more than 15 years ago that now allows the company to compete in international markets. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company chose to expand into the southeastern region of Coahuila, where it currently operates two industrial buildings.

Electric motor technology with global impact

The new plant will produce high-efficiency electric motors, a technology segment linked to approximately 53% of global electricity consumption. According to the company, the facility has an initial production capacity of 100,000 motors per year, with plans to scale output to millions of units as demand increases.

Founder and President Ben Schuler said the Coahuila project forms part of the company’s international expansion strategy and marks the beginning of a new stage of growth in advanced manufacturing.

Coahuila strengthens its industrial ecosystem

Tore Slotfeldt, Vice President of Manufacturing at Infinitum Electric, said the decision to invest in Coahuila was driven by factors such as trust, talent availability, and the collaborative relationships built in the region. He noted that after two years of operations, the company has confirmed the quality and commitment of the local workforce.

The arrival of the plant adds to the industrial momentum of southeastern Coahuila, where the manufacturing ecosystem continues to attract projects linked to electric technology, industrial innovation, and advanced production.

State authorities reported that during the current administration, 185 new investments totaling more than MXN 158 billion have been secured, and that six new industrial projects are expected to be announced in different regions of Coahuila in the coming months.
