Industrial space available in Edinburg, near airports, highways and international bridges

Raudel Garza, executive director of the  Economic Development Corporation in Edinburg , Texas (EEDC), reported that there is more space available for the arrival of new industries very close to the South  Texas International Airport and Interstate 69, which allows companies to do more efficient your logistics processes. 

In addition, the city offers direct connections to Mexico due to the proximity of international bridges such as Hidalgo, Anzaldúas and Donna, the latter two infrastructures in expansion processes and close to allowing cargo units to cross. 

 

Edinburg, perfect location for international trade

Today,  Edinburg is home to the automotive, technology, medical, logistics, technology and other manufacturing industries, with the North Industrial Park being a trigger. “There is no better location for international trade, especially to the north of Edinburg, where there are industrial parks just a few miles from the airport and direct connection to highways into the interior of Texas or anywhere in the United States, as well as proximity to For this reason, Mexico has high expectations for economic growth in the following years”.

 

New Investments in Edinburg

Attracting new investment , in recent months Edinburg has completed new industrial projects covering around 174,203 square feet (16,184 square meters) through logistics, transportation services, agriculture, storage, and plastic injection companies.

Coupled with 10 million dollars for the modernization of the airport.

Other strong aspects in attracting investment include the constant development of the workforce and professionals, with the presence of educational centers such as South Texas College ,  the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and the Edinburg school district. "We work in coordination with the best universities and study centers to provide tools to new professionals, but also to those who seek to specialize from administrative, financial, industrial, medical issues, to business." 

Faced with the phenomenon of business relocation , also known as nearshoring , Edinburg prepares itself with new infrastructure and maintains coordination with Mexican authorities, business organizations and associations, especially related to the manufacturing industry of the Tamaulipas border strip, being an ally strategic. 

“In recent years, Edinburg has shown accelerated growth in terms of economic development, from population, jobs, investment and infrastructure; The message for investors is that we have available land to build, capacity and peace of mind in housing, trained workers with experience, education, and a logistics network that opens the doors to the whole world,” Garza concluded.
