Grupo Frisa has officially inaugurated Banderas Tech Park in Tijuana, marking a key milestone in Baja California’s industrial development. With an initial investment of MX$205 million and the creation of 300 formal jobs, this new complex forms part of a larger MX$5.5 billion plan to expand industrial infrastructure across the state.

Strategic Location and Cross-Border Connectivity

Located in the Santa Fe area, the park sits just 30 kilometers from the Otay Border Crossing and Tijuana International Airport, offering a prime location for companies involved in light manufacturing, logistics, and distribution targeting international markets.

Spanning 11,200 square meters, Banderas Tech Park is tailored for companies seeking modern industrial spaces with robust cross-border connectivity — a defining advantage that continues to position Tijuana as one of the most dynamic industrial hubs in northwestern Mexico.

Industrial Development and Regional Economic Impact

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Kurt Honold, Secretary of Economy and Innovation of Baja California, and Pedro Montejo Peterson, Secretary of Economic Development of Tijuana, highlighted the city’s industrial strength, citing its logistics infrastructure, skilled workforce, and proximity to the U.S. as major competitive assets.

Carlos Rivera Torres Prado, General Director of Grupo Frisa’s industrial division, emphasized that Banderas Tech Park reflects the company’s continued commitment to regional growth. Other notable projects by Frisa include Isla Catalina, Bajamaq El Águila, and Real del Mar Golf Club, solidifying its position as a key player in Baja California’s development.

Projects like Banderas Tech Park reinforce Tijuana’s leadership in Mexico’s industrial landscape and drive positive economic, urban, and social outcomes. The park marks another step toward a future defined by innovation, employment, and competitiveness in the region.
