India seeks for business opportunities in Aguascalientes

As part of the visit the ambassador of India in Mexico, Muktesh K. Pardeshi made to Aguascalientes, the Ministry of Economic Development (SEDEC, by its Spanish initials) coordinated a series of meeting aimed to promote Aguascalientes as the ideal place to make business in Mexico.

The head of SEDEC, Luis Ricardo Martinez Castaneda, gathered with the ambassador to talk about the strengths the State has, same that has positioned it as an attractive pole for new investments focused in the diversification of strategic sectors and with promotion of opportunities presented in technological innovation matters.

After the first meeting was held a tour through the Indian tractors assembler Mahindra, opened in 2017, place where Muktesh K. Pardeshi could assured about the growth and projection the entity has, since nationally it is one of the largest companies in that country.

Martinez Castaneda underlined the negotiations being done to attract one Mahindra subsidiary from the information technologies sector, from there the importance of the visit done to the Center for Research in Information Technology and Communication (INFOTEC, by its Spanish initials) in which they knew the capabilities the State has on informatics network, data management and digital communication.

Finally, the secretary of Economic Development thanked the ambassador’s will to build ties that contribute to the growth of both entities and specially he valued the support that he will provide in becoming promoter of new investments with special interest in the aerospace, automotive, information technologies, pharmaceutical sectors among others in which they have success stories in their country.

Meanwhile the governor of the State, Martin Orozco also held a meeting with Pardeshi, who recognized Aguascalientes as a place with a strategic location, with great life quality and with the best business climate nationally.

“India has achieve great success through its companies in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, information technology and communication, aerospace, automotive, tourism, engineering, health and telecommunications sectors; the visit of the ambassador is an opportunity to promote Aguascalientes as an attractive place for investment and as a great opportunity for student experiences through exchange,” he said.

On the other hand, the India ambassador in Mexico noticed the participation of honor guests in the 46th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino, held in Guanajuato, enables more cooperation between India and Aguascalientes.

“It is an excellent opportunity to develop some joint initiatives headed to highlight the cultural expressions of Aguascalientes and India,” he ended.
