Hirotec to invest 1,084 million pesos in San Luis Potosi

The Japanese company Hirotec joins the 63 Japanese companies that decided to settle in San Luis Potosi aiming to increase their business and contribute to the entity’s growth and development, therefore they will invest 1,084 million pesos in the State.
The settling of the plant will be located at the Logistik I Industrial Park, since it will be a supplier for the German assembler BMW and of other companies from the sector in the Central-Bajio-West region.
Executives from Hirotec held a meeting with Juan Manuel Carreras, State’s Governor, to tell him the progress in the plant construction which, on its first phase will create more than 80 direct jobs, in addition, it will have high technology for stamping and quality assurance processes, developed in the United States, Japan, and Mexico.
Additionally, Hirotec will implement a Dojo of technical training that will allow developing and guaranteeing skills, and a Theoretical Training Center.
The cornerstone was placed in January 2017 and is anticipated to begin operations during the last bimester of 2019.
JAPANESE INVESTMENTS
Hirotec joins the industrial growth registered in San Luis Potosi, there are currently 63 Japanese investment companies in the entity, 48 of which are from the automotive sector and 19 from other sectors.
Among these new companies located in the State are Nidek Sankyo, Meiwa Sanyo, Zeon Kasei, and Taxan, all from the automotive sector, with a global investment of more than 2,187 million pesos and will generate 620 jobs.
Japanese companies that have expanded their plants and processes during the last years are North American Lighting Mexico, Midori Auto Leather Mexicana (in two times,) Siix EMS Mexico, Toyoda Gosei Automotive (Mexquitic and Venado plants,) Nissha PMX Technologies and Bandai Arnes de Mexico.
These expansions represent a 9,107.1 million pesos investment and the creation of more than 6,330 direct jobs, and also most of them belong to the automotive sector, auto-parts and medical.
