GPI In-Bond Facility speeds the Bajio region

The logistics scheme
implemented by GTO Logistics Center (GLC,) help maximizing and to increase the
exports of a company, not only the ones located in Guanajuato, but in the
entire Bajio area of the country, reducing 15 % in costs and lasting only 3
days in products dispatch.
Thus was announced by
Enrique Valle, director of this In-Bond Facility, who noted that the scopes and
benefits have to do with the quickness in merchandise dispatch, as well as
operation costs in ports and airports.
“We have seven months
operating in Guanajuato and we have achieved making our customers understand
how this kind of infrastructure can be maximized and potentiate their foreign
trade activities,” he said.
He explained that the main
objective of the GLC is to make Guanajuato and the Bajio region, the Mexico’s
Logistics HUB, since the State has important particularities for making that a
reality, such as: having the most important Dry Port in Latin America and that
GTO Logistics Center is the In-Bond Facility inside Guanajuato Customs that
offers different services for foreign trade merchandise with a permission for
20 years granted by the General Customs Administration from the Customs
Administration Service.
“The competitive advantages
we provide facilitate companies dispatching through their own customs, being in
the center of the country provides them the possibility for companies to be
closer of other points in time and distances from the main entrances or exits
where the merchandise arrives, logistically they have more advantages in the
logistic cost,” he determined.
Within the industrial
corridor that includes some municipalities nearby Queretaro, to the municipality
of Leon, Guanajuato, there already are 28 industrial parks, therefore, he
detailed that the entire community is avid of able to improve their supply
chains, seeking new ways of dispatching their merchandises in time and form.
The In-Bond Facility offers
services such as previous, storage, custody, added values, labeling, visual
inspections, special packaging, quality inspections, kitting, assembly,
repaletizer, high value merchandise and parcel service.
GUANAJUATO IN-BOND FACILITY BENEFITS
Enrique Valle informed that
the consolidation and deconsolidation of aerial cargo to the export and import
of direct flights to and from abroad, it is one of the main advantages
of the GLC, in addition of having a consolidated transit service from
and to the airports of Guadalajara and Mexico City.
“Small and medium companies
from the region will be benefited from the cargo management capability for
different dimensions and characteristics,” he said.
In the maritime transfer,
said that there is consolidation in Europe in the port of Hamburg, in addition
of having terrestrial and railroad transits from Altamira and Veracruz, direct
to GTO Logistics Center, guaranteeing the arrival of containers with original
seal.
In the terrestrial transfer it was direct USA FTL and Canada to GLC, it has a Cargo Consolidated Center in Laredo, Texas and terrestrial transits in Nuevo Laredo, Ciudad Juarez and Nogales. With highway 45 is assured a road network connection from the NAFTA corridor.
