GMC, General Motors' Professional Grade brand, launched the commercial sale of its 2025 HUMMER EV in Mexico this month.

The HUMMER EV, available in SUV and pickup versions, marks GMC’s first fully electric vehicle, boasting exceptional performance and off-road capabilities.

"The arrival of the GMC HUMMER EV in Mexico reflects our commitment to achieving a Zero Emissions future and represents another step in our electrification strategy for the country," said Paco Garza, President and CEO of GM Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. "This 100% electric GMC supertruck is globally unique, with no comparable vehicle in the market."

Teresa Vera, Marketing Manager for Buick, GMC, and Cadillac, highlighted that between 2005 and 2010, Mexico ranked second globally in HUMMER sales. Under GMC's Professional Grade, this zero-emission vehicle is poised to become a benchmark for its customers once again.

Initially, the HUMMER EV will be sold in 10 GMC dealerships across seven states: Jalisco (2), Nuevo León (2), Chihuahua, Querétaro, Baja California, Puebla, and Mexico City (2).

Pricing:

  • SUV: $3,500,000 MXN
  • Pickup: $3,650,000 MXN

These dealerships are equipped with 150 kW superchargers and form part of GM Mexico's network of 36 Level 3 charging stations, providing comprehensive support for GM customers.

The GMC HUMMER EV was designed as the brand's first-ever electric vehicle. Built on GM's modular battery platform, it offers extensive range, power, and fast-charging capabilities for General Motors' electric vehicles.

The vertical arrangement of its battery cells optimizes weight distribution, creating a low center of gravity that enhances driving agility and stability.

With three electric motors, the pickup version delivers up to 1,000 HP, while the SUV offers 830 HP. Both variants generate a remarkable torque of 11,500 lb-ft and feature towing capacities exceeding 3,400 kg. The pickup is equipped with a 24-module battery, while the SUV has a 20-module battery, providing estimated ranges of nearly 600 km and over 500 km, respectively, on a full charge.
