Global Leader Envases Universales Invests $50M in Nuevo León Expansion

The global company Envases Universales has announced a $50 million investment to expand its plant in the municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo León.
The world-class company specializes in producing high-quality packaging and is set to generate an estimated 150 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs through the expansion. This move will enhance Envases Universales' capacity for producing quality and sustainable packaging, emphasizing its commitment to the circular economy. Currently, the plant processes bottles with recycled content ranging from 30% to 100%, sourced through local collection efforts, reinforcing its environmental commitment.
During a tour of the facilities, the Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, accompanied by Emmanuel Loo, Acting Head of the State’s Secretariat of Economy, and Antonio Donnadieu, Co-CEO of Envases Universales, celebrated the expansion as a symbol of the state’s economic dynamism.
“This is the 312th investment project since the start of our administration, bringing the accumulated investment total to $70 billion. No other state in Mexico boasts such an impressive figure; we are number one in all economic indicators,” García Sepúlveda emphasized.
With 84 production plants worldwide, five of which are located in Nuevo León, Envases Universales reinforces its role in the global market, contributing to the industrial and economic development of the region while advancing more sustainable practices.
