GLN Moldes México has officially inaugurated the expansion of its facility located in the Aeropuerto Industrial Park in Colón, Querétaro. The project involved an investment of over 195 million pesos (approximately $10 million USD) and will generate 64 new jobs to enhance the company’s operations in the automotive sector.

Manuel Champalimaud, President of GLN México, announced the launch of a new division, GLN Advanced Solutions Automotive. This initiative aims to advance technological development in the North American automotive industry, providing solutions in plastics, molds, energy, and agroindustry.

Rui Sergio Marques Ángelo, CEO of GLN México, highlighted Querétaro's stability as a key factor in the company’s decision to expand. He emphasized that this move would help the company grow its client base and strengthen its integration into the automotive value chain, boosting the region’s competitiveness in global markets.

Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), praised the investment as a testament to GLN's confidence in Querétaro as a secure and thriving destination for industrial projects.

“A returning client is a satisfied client. This expansion not only reflects GLN Group’s trust in us but also underscores the plant’s contribution to Querétaro’s competitiveness. What you produce here reaches many parts of the world,” Del Prete stated.

The ceremony was also attended by Portugal’s Ambassador to Mexico, Manuel Carvalho, who underscored the 160 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He commended Querétaro's dynamic business environment as a model of success in Mexico.
