FIBRA Prologis, the leading operator and owner of Class A logistics real estate in Mexico, has strengthened its leadership in the country's industrial real estate sector by acquiring 77.14% of the Certificados Bursátiles Fiduciarios Inmobiliarios (CBFIs) of Terrafina, the company announced in a statement.
Terrafina manages approximately 42.3 million square feet of industrial real estate, including 289 industrial warehouses and 11 land reserve properties in key markets. This acquisition allows FIBRA Prologis to expand its already robust portfolio, which now includes 236 logistics and manufacturing facilities across six industrial regions in Mexico, totaling 46.9 million square feet of gross leasable area.
Héctor Ibarzabal, CEO of FIBRA Prologis, expressed his enthusiasm for this significant acquisition, highlighting that securing more than three-quarters of Terrafina's shares marks a milestone that reflects the company's commitment to the industrial real estate market in Mexico.
With this consolidation, FIBRA Prologis reaffirms its commitment to sustained growth in the sector and the long-term potential of Mexico's industrial real estate market, further solidifying its leadership position in the country.
Armando Fregoso, President of Prologis for Latin America, emphasized the confidence that investors have in the company's strategy. According to Fregoso, this integration will enhance FIBRA Prologis's ability to capitalize on opportunities in Mexico's dynamic industrial real estate market.
