Monterrey is gearing up to host FABTECH Mexico 2025, the country’s largest and most comprehensive metalworking exposition, taking place from May 6 to 8 at Cintermex.
This internationally recognized event will bring together more than 13,700 national and international visitors, 450 exhibiting companies, and approximately 1,200 global brands.
With a strong economic impact expected, FABTECH Mexico is projected to generate over 230 million pesos in tourism revenue and business opportunities exceeding 200 million U.S. dollars—representing an estimated 15% to 20% growth compared to the previous year, according to Jorge, one of the event’s organizers.
One of the main highlights of FABTECH Mexico 2025 will be its interactive exhibition floor, featuring over 400 machines in full operation, collectively weighing more than 2,000 tons. This unique setup will allow attendees to witness cutting-edge processes and technologies that are transforming the metalworking industry firsthand.
In addition, the event will offer specialized conferences, networking areas, and academic forums focusing on the latest market trends and innovations.
The expo is backed by key international organizations such as:
- The Mexican Association for Surface Finishing (AMAS)
- The American Welding Society (AWS)
- The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
- The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA)
Its main goal is to foster collaboration between suppliers and manufacturers across strategic industries such as automotive, aerospace, home appliances, and medical devices.
FABTECH Mexico is not only a platform for innovation—it also serves as a barometer for the growth of the metalworking industry in Mexico. Currently, manufacturing contributes over 20% of the national GDP and attracts more than $20 billion USD in foreign direct investment.
Within this context, the expo has positioned itself as a strategic event for Mexico’s industrial development.
According to data from the Ministry of Economy and the Bank of Mexico, the metalworking sector employs more than 1.5 million people and includes over 22,000 specialized companies.
With its strong emphasis on technology, innovation, and competitiveness, FABTECH Mexico 2025 promises to be a pivotal event for strengthening the manufacturing industry in Nuevo León and across the entire country.
