Expansions will continue in Reynosa

Grupo WIC to open new plant in July

Western Industries Corporation is developing an expansion project with an important investing in Reynosa; the company provides different packaging solutions designed to help reducing the total cost and protect their customers’ products.

Grupo WIC – as it is known – arrived to Reynosa 18 years ago, in 2000 it started operations in the Reynosa Industrial Park in a building of 35 square feet.

Its growth has been constant, and due to new businesses that arrive to the company they were in need of increasing their workforce that currently is integrated by 70 people; in addition, it was necessary to change its operations to a new building, where 20 employees more were integrated on a first stage and are extended to work two shifts.

In July they will be opening their new facilities that will have 50 square feet and several facilities for its employees.

More machines are integrated to its processes, more automation for Wood, machinery, machinery for drop test in packaging and machinery for cutting wood and cardboard.  With this change, Wester Industries Corporation in Reynosa will be trained to increase its production in 30 %. Currently, its annual sales are in 6.4 million dollars and for this year they anticipate a goal of 8 million dollars in sales.

Why to continue growing in Reynosa?

Mirthala Montelongo, general manager at Western Industries in Reynosa, said that the objective is to first hiring more personnel in the different areas required by the company, we would like to be certified in OEA; what will open the company more doors to sale to Mexican companies.
