EuroTranciatura Mexico inaugurates third plant in Mexico, focused on electric vehicle components

In a
significant stride towards sustainable automotive manufacturing,
EuroTranciatura Mexico, a part of the Italian industrial giant Euro Group,
inaugurated its third plant in the Querétaro Industrial Park. The new facility,
dedicated entirely to the production of sheet metal packages for electric
vehicle traction motors, was officially opened on January 10, 2024.
EuroTranciatura
Mexico is set to invest over 50 million euros in the next four years,
emphasizing a commitment to the burgeoning electric vehicle market. This
substantial investment will not only bolster technological advancements in the
region but also generate 500 direct job opportunities, providing a significant
boost to the local economy.
Eduardo
Arana Collazo, the General Director of EuroTranciatura Mexico, highlighted the
plant's exclusive focus on manufacturing sheet metal packages tailored for
electric vehicle traction motors, aligning with the growing demand for
sustainable transportation solutions.
Querétaro
Governor Mauricio Kuri commended the socially responsible initiatives of
companies like EuroTranciatura, expressing optimism about the positive impact
on the state's future. Kuri highlighted the remarkable growth of the company
since its inception in 1967, emphasizing that the Querétaro plant alone
produces 130,000 tons annually, contributing a quarter of the company's global
output.
The
third EuroTranciatura plant adds 9,000 square meters of manufacturing space,
accompanied by the employment of 500 new individuals, a development that
further solidifies the company's commitment to the region.
Notably,
EuroTranciatura Laminaciones EuroGroup currently boasts a workforce of
approximately 2,800 employees, operating seven production plants in Italy and
five abroad. The expansion in Querétaro was witnessed by Marco Antonio Del
Prete Tercero, the Secretary of Sustainable Development, who expressed
satisfaction at being part of this milestone.
The
inauguration event also shed light on the positive impact on Querétaro's
automotive sector. From January to September 2023, the sector reported exports
totaling 6,695.38 million dollars, marking an impressive annual growth of
16.5%. These exports constituted 49.2% of the total products exported by the
state during the mentioned period.
Prominent
figures present at the event included Leonardantonio Franchini, CEO of
EuroTranciatura Mexico and honorary consul of Italy in Querétaro; Marco
Arduini, CEO of Euro Group; Sergio Lori, President of Euro Group Laminations;
Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development; Liliana
San Martín Castillo, Secretary of Labor; and Martha Elena Soto Obregón,
Secretary of Education.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone for EuroTranciatura Mexico, contributing to the region's economic growth and fostering advancements in sustainable automotive technologies.
