ENGEL has inaugurated its new manufacturing plant at El Marqués Industrial Park, Querétaro, with an investment of $1 billion MXN to expand its regional production capacity, offer faster delivery times, and increase the availability of injection molding machines.
"This expansion allows us to significantly accelerate the start of production, ensuring greater availability of our machines," said Stefan Engleder, CEO of ENGEL Group.
At this facility, ENGEL will manufacture the e-mac series (a fully electric small machine) and WINTEC t-win (a large, two-platen hydraulic machine), as well as robots and customized automation solutions, establishing a solid production base for these high-demand machines in the region.
The plant has ample space for future expansion. The decision to acquire this property reflects the company's intention to continue increasing its production capacity in line with market demand.
"We are significantly expanding our team to support our manufacturing operations and customer service in the region. This investment is not just about expanding our operations, but about strengthening our expertise and presence in the local market," said Nils Mayer, General Manager of ENGEL Machinery Mexico.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Malena, President of ENGEL Americas, highlighted Mexico's crucial role in the company’s global production strategy, positioning it as a key market for injection molding technology.
"With this facility, we are enhancing our local manufacturing presence while ensuring a seamless experience for our customers, from production to after-sales support," she stated.
The facility is designed to support a structured production flow, ensuring the flexibility needed to adapt to changes in market demand.
The Querétaro plant will undergo phased modernization to align with ENGEL’s high production standards.
