Empowering Economic Development: MXLAN 2024 Summit Kickoff in McAllen

The economic summit, a part of the MXLAN 2024 festival, kicked off in McAllen, Texas, featuring a series of conferences and dialogues aimed at fostering economic development and new business relationships.

In its second edition, the panels will focus on educational aspects, workforce, international trade, nearshoring, and the regional economic future.

Participants include authorities and leaders from McAllen, representatives from international bridges, universities, banking institutions, as well as entrepreneurs from Texas and Mexico.

This economic gathering marks the first day of the MXLAN cultural music festival.

Commercial Mission

As part of the inaugural commercial mission of the MXLAN 2024 festival, the city of McAllen, Texas welcomed leaders from organizations, universities, companies, and authorities from Apodaca, Nuevo León, Puerto Vallarta, and Ciudad Victoria.

Through conferences and networking sessions, the region's main competitive advantages for investments, collaboration opportunities, and growth are highlighted.

Briana Powers, U.S. Consul General in Matamoros, along with Froylan Yescas Cedillo, Consul of Mexico in McAllen, welcomed Mexican attendees.
