Emergent Cold Latin America announced the inauguration of its new cold chain logistics center in Tlajomulco, Jalisco—an installation requiring a USD 30 million investment that will expand refrigerated storage capacity in the El Laurel industrial corridor. The facility will begin operations within Cond Flex Park.

The new warehouse offers 12,000 pallet positions across 81,000 cubic meters, enabling the storage of up to 12,000 tons of food products under controlled temperature conditions. The project will generate 60 direct jobs and 180 indirect jobs in the region, and includes expansion-ready land that could double its current installed capacity in the medium term.

Refrigerated Infrastructure and Logistics Growth in Western Mexico

“Jalisco has become a key hub for supply chains in Western Mexico thanks to its connection with the ports of Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas and its growing industrial activity,” said Juan Pablo Benítez, Managing Director of Emergent Cold LatAm in Mexico. “With this opening, we reaffirm our commitment to invest in modern infrastructure that enables our customers to operate with greater safety, efficiency, and global cold chain standards.”

This project is the company’s second inauguration in Mexico in 2025. In March, Emergent Cold LatAm opened its first purpose-built facility in the country with a USD 50 million investment. It has also expanded its infrastructure through upgrades in Villagrán and Apodaca, as well as the construction of a new center in Monterrey.

National Expansion and Strengthening of the Cold Chain Network

With the new site in Jalisco, the company now operates 36 multi-temperature warehouses across Mexico, strategically located from the northern border to the country’s central region. Emergent Cold LatAm has accelerated its growth since entering Mexico in 2022 through acquisitions and new developments, strengthening efficiency, safety, and coverage across national food supply chains.
