EJOTATF Fasteners expands and begins a joint venture with Asyst Tecnologias de México

With the vision that all suppliers and processes are in the same country to offer quality products, in addition to meeting the demand for their items, EJOTATF Fasteners de México y Compañía carried out a new expansion, investing more than 20 million dollars. 

“The future is localization, it is what customers are looking for, to have local suppliers and we have the technology, innovation and quality to offer it, so we are investing to keep up with what the industry requires and now more with the arrival of electric cars,” said Paulo Teixeira, president of EJOTATF Fasteners de México  y Compañía.

In this new plant, a plating line was installed, finishing to carry out the galvanizing process, which was carried out with a supplier, but thanks to the vision that the company maintains to strengthen its future growth, they opted for this innovation. 

“There was a need to have our own finishing line and we had to expand, the line is already working and for next year we want to open one more, so in this plant there is enough space to continue growing, later bringing other processes and Without a doubt, quality issues improved,” said Dionicio Osuna, vice president of operations for EJOTATF Fasteners de México y Compañía.

The company remains at the forefront of improving its processes, which is why, with the aim of having a positive impact on the environment, the alkaline zinc-nickel plating line carries out a closed water treatment, which does not discharge . 

"On the environmental side, the process has advantages, since it is alkaline, it is more uniform and has greater protection in terms of the appearance of the products and the environment," said Dionicio Osuna.

EJOTATF Fasteners de México y Compañía produces more than four million screws and fasteners, handling a wide variety of designs, sizes and specifications to supply mainly Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers in the automotive industry.

"90% of the company's production is destined for the automotive sector and the other percentage to different industrial segments", stated Paulo Teixeira.

Exclusively for Mexico Industry, the president of EJOTATF Fasteners de México y Compañía shared some of the projects they have on the horizon, in 2023 they will expand again, since they will install the second plating line; in 2024 they will bet on heat treatment, so they are going to buy an oven; and in 2025 this new plant will have a new expansion to make it four times larger. 

“We are strengthening ourselves to be a local supplier and, at the same time, to implement all the necessary technology so that they choose us as suppliers of electric cars”, expressed Paulo Teixeira.

 

EJOTATF FASTENERS MAKES AN ALLIANCE WITH ASYST TECNOLOGÍAS DE MEXICO

The directors of the company are partying, as they met to celebrate the group's anniversary: ​​EJOT celebrates 100 years in the market, ATF 75 years and EJOTATF 15 years. In addition to the start of operations of the sister company ASYST Technologies from Mexico, which began in 2021.

“It is a joint venture of ATF and EJOT, formed in 1996 to primarily support automotive lighting levels with lamp aiming and adjustment systems. Since then, ASYST has become a diversified provider of insert molded products and assemblies throughout the vehicle,” said José Luis Báez, operations manager for ASYST Technologies de México.

The company is located next to the EJOTATF Fasteners de México y Compañía plant, within the Millenium industrial park, since the strategy of both companies is to offer a product that meets quality standards, respecting the times requested by the client. . 

"The corporate wanted us to work hand in hand and what better than having this closeness and location, since the central and Bajío parts are the strongest," he said. 

In this plant, lighting components are manufactured, by means of plastic injection, in addition to technical assemblies. 

“It is one of the companies that has few operating personnel, since all processes are fully automated, and to respect quality standards, we have vision systems, which ensure customer satisfaction, and the whole team it was brought from Germany and the US”, concluded José Luis Báez, operations manager of ASYST Technologies in Mexico.
