Edinburg, Texas, October 10, 2023 - In a remarkable display of economic growth, Edinburg witnessed a substantial upswing in construction-related activities during September 2023, raking in an impressive $27.6 million compared to the $20.4 million reported during the same period last year. The surge encompasses residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

The latest construction permit report reveals that from January to September, Edinburg accumulated a total of $333.5 million in new constructions, marking a significant increase of approximately $77.4 million compared to the $256.1 million reported in 2022.

Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr. attributed these numbers to the robustness of the real estate sector in the city, emphasizing its competitive advantages and appeal to new investors.
