EcoCab to Invest MXN 540 Million to Establish Its Third Plant in Durango

South Korean company EcoCab announced an investment of MXN 540 million to establish its third plant in Durango, a project that will strengthen the state’s manufacturing activity and contribute to the industrial growth of the La Laguna region. The new operation is expected to create 200 direct jobs and begin operations in January 2027.

New Investment Strengthens La Laguna’s Industrial Sector

The opening of this new plant represents another step in EcoCab’s expansion strategy in Mexico. The company selected Durango to increase its production capacity through an investment that will boost regional economic activity and strengthen its presence within the manufacturing sector.

The project is expected to create 200 direct jobs, with recruitment scheduled to take place between August and November. This stage will allow local talent to join the company’s operations before the plant officially begins production.

The Plant Will Begin Operations in 2027

According to the available information, the new facility will begin operations in January 2027, expanding EcoCab’s production infrastructure in the country. The investment is part of a series of industrial projects that are strengthening the region’s manufacturing capabilities.

The arrival of this third plant also helps position La Laguna as a destination for industrial development and new investment. The addition of production capacity and the creation of jobs support the economic growth of this region in northern Mexico and strengthen its participation in manufacturing value chains.
