Eaton's Electrical Solutions Division to Expand Querétaro Facility with $85 Million Investment

Eaton's Electrical Solutions division has unveiled plans to invest $85 million in expanding its plant located in Santa Rosa Jáuregui, the capital of Querétaro state.
The expansion project will see the addition of 8,000 square meters to the existing 40,000 square meters, accompanied by the recruitment of 300 new personnel to operate the upcoming assembly and manufacturing lines.
Raquel Mujica, Plant Manager of Power Systems; Angie McMillin, President of the Energy Solutions and Services (ESS) group; Omar Zaire, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Power Reliability Division (PRD); and Marcos del Prete, Secretary of Sustainable Development of Querétaro state, were all present at the event. They ceremoniously planted a tree symbolizing the commencement of construction for Eaton's new facility.
Sustainability and Operational Efficiency
Omar Zaire emphasized the need for the expansion, citing projections that the electrical components market will double by 2040. He underscored the importance of preparing for increased demand and highlighted Eaton's commitment to meeting sustainability goals while boosting production.
Marcos del Prete praised Eaton for its focus on sustainability and circular economies, aligning with Querétaro state's ambition to drastically reduce CO2 emissions by 2050. He commended Eaton's adoption of the Eaton Business System, which integrates Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma practices to ensure quality, efficiency, and resource conservation.
