Dow will invest to develop two projects for the correct management and elimination of waste and recycling in Mexico

Dow announced the projects in which it will invest as part of its Business Impact Fund program , which has the participation of strategic partners, non-profit organizations and company collaborators.
The foregoing is with the objective of addressing the greatest challenges worldwide. Among them, the two projects to which it will allocate resources in Mexico stand out, “ Ecozonas” and “ Give a hand to the school” , for the benefit of the environment and the community.
Through “ Ecozones ”, the companies Dow , Omnigreen and Fundación Avina will jointly create 10 new mini-waste collection sites that will improve employment conditions for collectors of these materials. In addition, each collection center seeks to improve reverse logistics , reduce the loss of value of recycled material, and create public awareness about proper waste management and disposal.
For its part, together with Berel and the United Way , the “ Give a hand to the school ” project will be promoted, with which 10 public schools that provide comprehensive care to students with various disabilities or serious developmental disorders will be renovated, using coating products Dow differentiated .
The rest of the projects will promote reforestation, crop protection, food security, and recycling models at the end of the value chain, in countries where the company is present, such as Brazil, Colombia, India, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam. .
The plans; which address critical social issues, or promote sustainability initiatives, were nominated by Dow employees around the world. Since its launch in 2016, the Business Impact Fund has supported 51 projects in 21 countries, with an investment of approximately 10 million dollars.
