For Delta Tecnic , a company specialized in masterbatches for the cable and PVC industry, Mexico is a strategic market from which it supplies its products to various countries on the continent, such as the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Honduras and Argentina.
In this regard, one of the company's objectives is to expand its presence in the American continent, relying on its investment in the plant in Mexico.
The Spanish company has been marketing its products in the country for 25 years and in 2020, it put the masterbatches plant in the state of Querétaro into operation . In 2021, Delta Tecnic 's turnover in the country stood at 112.7 million pesos , which translates into 28% more than the previous year. In the first quarter of 2022, growth in Mexico was 15% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Due to the growth obtained in the Mexican market, specifically in Querétaro, Delta Tecnic proposes new investments of more than 20 million pesos, which will be destined to the installation of photovoltaic panels, to increase the productive capacity to meet the growth in demand; and create an increase in diversification in addition to automotive cable, new sectors such as profiles, furniture, telecommunications, power cables, plastic canvas, among others.
Eric Xirinachs, CEO of Delta Tecnic, said that without a doubt the Mexican plant has exceeded the company's expectations regarding growth, since in 2022, they had planned to reach 132 million Mexican pesos, so in October they achieved that figure, that is, a growth of around 40 percent.
“On the other hand, we have doubled the number of clients, from an initial 13, to date we have reached 30, and we have also grown with existing clients thanks to local manufacturing. Finally, during 2022 we generated 11 jobs at the plant and we hope to continue generating both investments and jobs."
