Delta Tecnic , a technology company dedicated to the industrial chemistry of color, inaugurated its new plant in Mexico , located in Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro . There, the company began the production of color concentrates mainly dedicated to the manufacture of automotive cables.
Eric Xirinachs , CEO of the company, explained that the decision to settle in Mexico responds to the trends reported in the automotive industry , mainly, of which there is a large presence in the region. And the fact is that an electric car, explained the manager as an example, requires battery and charging cables that the combustion car does not demand.
“ Mexico is a transformative industrial center within the supply chain of the US automobile market. In this sense, strong growth in the sector is expected after the pandemic, although not only in this industry, but also in others such as renewable energy, telecommunications and profiling for architecture and construction, which we will attend to in a second phase ”, he stated during a virtual press conference.
Delta Tecnic will apply an investment of more than 2,300,000 dollars for the next three years, which will allow it to strengthen this new location. The bet is large, since they estimate that their business in Mexico reports growth of between 12 and 15% per year, higher than expected in their global businesses, in which they foresee an average growth of 8% for the next five years.
Likewise, they have projected to reach a workforce of approximately 50 employees by 2026 in Mexico . Currently, the company has 32 workers in this country.
RECOVERY
In the first six months of the year, Delta Tecnic has experienced a recovery, after the blow caused by the pandemic; reached global sales 30% higher than in 2020.
The company expects to close 2021 with a growth of 16% compared to the previous year , translating into revenues of approximately 47.4 million euros.
Despite the impact of the pandemic on customers, especially in the automotive sector, sales in 2020 barely suffered 6 percent, the CEO shared.
