Delta Tecnic opens a new plant in Mexico; the first outside of Spain

Querétaro is the headquarters of the first floor of the Catalan company Delta Tecnic outside Barcelona. From this factory, the company specialized in the production and distribution of color concentrates and raw materials for plastics, cables, inks, paints and cosmetics, will supply its products throughout the American continent, with a focus on the automotive industry .
Through a virtual conference, Eric Xirinachs, CEO of Delta Tecnic, anticipated that in Mexico he expects a turnover of 3 million euros for this year and expects to double that figure in 2021, up to 6 million euros .
The plant, which has 3,000 square meters , expandable to 5,000 (m²), currently has 10 employees and the forecast is to reach a figure between 30 and 40 workers within a year.
Delta Tecnic has been marketing its products in Mexico for 25 years, and has been operating directly in this country for a year, a market that together with Spain accounts for 40% of its turnover. In addition, the company supplies its products to the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Argentina . In its expansive line, the company plans to strengthen its presence next year to continue growing.
Delta México Masterbatch , the new Mexican subsidiary of Delta Tecnic, foresees a 15% annual growth for the next five years and maintains its intention to enter new markets and industries.
Currently, the company has a 47% market share of color concentrates for automotive cables with the forecast of reaching 60% in five years. For its part, in the PvC industry it occupies a 5% share and the forecast is to grow to 25% in the same period in Mexico.
Delta Tecnic exports color concentrates to more than 60 countries, including Spain, Mexico, India, Morocco, Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom. It has two production plants in Sant Celoni (Barcelona), totaling 15,000 m² in facilities , and a multidisciplinary team of 160 people .
