Deacero will open a new plant in Coahuila specializing in black and galvanized profiles

Grupo Deacero will invest 420 million dollars for the construction of a new plant for black and galvanized profiles in Ramos Arizpe , Coahuila, which will help generate 300 new jobs in the construction phase and the permanent hiring of 450 workers.
The first stage of this investment consists of the civil works of the complex, which will be made up of industrial buildings, offices, electrical, sanitary, hydraulic installations, machinery, among others.
This new factory is added to those that already exist in the region where steel and wire projects are being developed.
“Our work in Mexico began 70 years ago and our presence in Coahuila has been going on for more than three decades. In that time we managed to grow together with our Coahuila collaborators, for this reason we are committed to their economic and social well-being of the community in general. This investment is to continue consolidating the brand as one of the most sustainable steel companies in North America”, shared Raúl Gutiérrez Muguerza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Deacero Group .
PLANT DESCRIPTION
The new profiles preparation plant will have its first stage of construction this year and part of 2023 ; It will have the capacity to produce 180,000 tons per year , of which 120,000 will be hot-dip galvanized. Therefore, 20,000 square meters of production areas and 100,000 square meters of land will be needed.
The second stage will cover from 2024 to 2026, in which 20,000 square meters of productive areas will be added to increase the processing capacity to 135,000 additional tons per year.
With this project, the markets of the electrical energy and telecommunications industries, industrial plants, oil and gas, road safety, racks and trailers will be served.
They have a presence in different states such as Guanajuato, Michoacán, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Puebla ; In addition, it stands out as one of the companies that has sustainable processes to reduce the environmental impact.
Globally, Deacero stands out as the world leader in the production of wires, while in Mexico they rank first in the production of long and reinforcing steel, which has earned them the distinction of being the largest recycler in the country.
Its presence in national territory includes states such as Guanajuato, Nuevo León, Michoacán, Puebla and Coahuila.
