Danfoss is set to expand its manufacturing plant in Apodaca, Nuevo León, by 40,000 square meters, increasing its production capabilities to over 1.7 million units, including compressors for ventilation, air conditioning, pressure sensors, and leak detection devices.

Currently, Mexico accounts for 30% of the Danish company's international sales. The expansion aims to meet the growing market demand and position the country as a key player in manufacturing chains.

The additional production includes 100,000 compressors used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications, and 1.6 million A2L pressure sensors and leak detection devices for flammable refrigerants to support the refrigerant transition.

With this expansion, Danfoss plans to double its capacity for microchannel heat exchangers. "By expanding our new production facilities, we are responding to strong market trends such as energy efficiency in refrigeration, electrification of heating, and the refrigerant transition. We are excited to be part of this development," emphasized Kim Fausing, President and CEO of Danfoss.

Danfoss's growth in Mexico also stands out in Latin America, where the company employs 4,100 people, and in the Americas, where it operates five production centers and a sales office.

Recently, company executives and international corporate leaders visited the Nuevo León plant to review the expansion's progress and market trends.

They also participated in a meeting with municipal and state authorities, underscoring that the expansion will boost both the company's and the region's economic development. To mark the occasion, a symbolic tree was planted within the corporate grounds.
