CVG announces investment of 5 million dollars in a new plant

Investment projects for
State regions industrial development continue arriving in Coahuila territory,
since the American automotive company CVG Commercial Vehicle Group Inc.,
announced the investment of 5 million dollars in the settlement of a plant in the
municipality of Morelos, which will generate 1,200 direct jobs.
CVG is a company of the
automotive sector, harnesses manufacturer, which will be settled in Morelos due
to the proximity of the border that turns it on a strategic location, as well
as one of peace, tranquility and labor confidence prevailing in Coahuila.
Ron Gray, general director
of CVG, said that it is a global company with an important investment in the
Derramadero area, in Saltillo, and it currently focuses in the Northern Region,
in Morelos, where it will have the opportunity of growing together, the company
and the municipality.
He noted that Morelos was
chosen for its high potential and strategic location of the industrial building
where they will settle, which will allow CVG to continue securing as a quality
and internationally recognized company.
He said that as of mid-June
their doors opened to manufacture different components, such as harnesses, that
will be manufactured in this plant with highly developed technology, a
production that is expected to be increased every month.
Meanwhile, Miguel Angel
Riquelme, governor of Coahuila, underlined the economic development of this
Northern Region gets stronger with investment projects from different origins,
mostly belong to the automotive industry and energy sector.
“Morelos receives great
news: the arrival of CVG, a bit North American company present worldwide, with
several locations in four continents and more than 5,000 employees,” said the
official, noticing that for ten years, any factory of this magnitude had not
been installed in the municipality.
“CVG will benefit the economy of Morelos families, and with their bet on this region we add 54 new investment projects in our administration,” added Riquelme Solis.
Finally, Gerardo Xavier de
Hoyos, mayor of the municipality, said that the economic activation of Morelos
comes true with the settling of the company, and it will be a great trigger in
the benefit of the population.
