Continental develops smart technologies for human transportation worldwide, being a profitable international partner for automotive supply, tire manufacturing, and industrial solutions.  The company works under a sustainable structure, safe, comfortable and sustainable.

Nationally they produce and develop automotive components and tiers, which are exported to other countries, being a fundamental piece in the automotive industry in the country.

San Luis Potosi is an essential stage for Continental, it is the site where they started operations in Mexico and is one of the few places in the world in which Continental has plants settled which manufacture products for their three large groups; Tires, Automotive and Contitech.

The German company has different technologies that support production processes as collaborative robots and cutting-edge machinery for different products’ manufacturing processes.

The automotive company has three plants in San Luis Potosi:

1.      Tires plant: it started operations in 1975; it is integrated by 1,500 employees and has a surface of 110,564 square meters.

2.     Air Spring Systems: started manufacturing air spring systems in 2000, it currently has a facility of 14,457 square meters and its workforce is of 700 people.

3.     Power Transmission Group: Since 2000, they manufacture transmission belts in a facility of 4,146 square meters and its human capital is of 174 collaborators.

4.     Conveyor Belt Group: it has a facility of 8,399.04 square meters, began operations in 2000 and they manufacture conveyor belts.

5.     Vibration Control: the human capital integrating this plant is of 180 people, they began operations in 2008 and produce vibration control systems.

6.     Benecke Hornschuch Surface Group: they manufacture synthetic material for cars interiors since 2008, they currently have 300 employees and the plant surface is of 19,786.93 square meters.

7.     Automotive plant: began operations in 2017, manufacturing hydraulic brakes systems and turbochargers; 450 collaborators and a surface of 33,000 square meters integrate it.

8.     Mobile Fluid Systems: it started operation in 2017; they manufacture hoses and fluid systems on a surface of 8,689.61 square meters and 140 employees.

Additionally, they opened Global Business Services offices in 2014 in which 55 people work and Mexico Distribution Center with 30 people.
