Continental Las Colinas consolidates in Guanajuato

The German company Continental, one of the largest world suppliers from the automotive industry and leader in technology, celebrated the 15^th anniversary of its facilities of Las Colinas Plant in Silao.

This plant opened in 2004 characterizing throughout the years by its high quality in manufacture and forefront technology development focused on the automotive industry, achieving the recognition of the corporate internationally and the supply chain in the region.

Continental has as potential customers at least nine global OEM’s original equipment manufacturers, who received products elaborated by the company, such as brake booster, windshield wiper systems and drum brakes.

The first line of brake booster units was launched at the same time of the factory opening, as years passed by it stood out by its quality in work and machinery, as well as for the plant personnel which continuously receives trainings and certifications.

The company includes a construction are of more than 18,000 m² in 50,000 m² of property land, with 1,200 collaborators.

At the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary an event was held inside the plant facilities where international directives of Continental gathered with collaborators, fulfilling special activities with collaborators that reunited at the plant since its beginnings in Guanajuato.

Meanwhile, Matthias Matic, vice-president of the business unit, thanked the team for their achievements reached in the last years and reasserted the commitment the company has with quality and excellence.

Given this, he announced the expansion of Continental in Las Colinas Plant.

Likewise, Lutz Marczinski, director of the plant, said that an exponential growth has been achieved; therefore he emphasized the commitment of continuous improvement through international certifications such as Ford Q1, in addition of the different excellence awards received from Toyota.

The company has received internal awards from CBS for R&D, quality and perfect launching, which reflects a positive reputation of Las Colinas Plant inside Continental Corporation.
