Executives from COMCE Noreste participated in the CBP Town Hall Meeting, where recent changes in U.S. customs enforcement policies were presented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The meeting featured high-level participation from Susan Thomas (Acting Executive Assistant Commissioner), Dina Amato (CTPAT Director), Peter Touhy (CTPAT Acting Director), and Armando Taboada (Assistant Director, Trade, Laredo Field Office). Topics included supply chain traceability, compliance requirements, and new measures to make binational trade more secure and efficient.
For COMCE Noreste, representing its membership at these meetings is critical. The council works to provide strategic information and guidance for companies engaged in imports, exports, logistics, and supply chain management. By engaging directly with U.S. authorities, COMCE Noreste ensures that its members are well informed and prepared to adapt to regulatory updates that impact day-to-day trade operations.
With a mission of “bringing the best of Mexico to the world and the best of the world to Mexico,” COMCE Noreste reaffirmed its commitment to support the region’s companies by promoting compliance, strengthening competitiveness, and fostering a reliable trade environment across the border.
