The Cluster de Electrodomésticos (CLELAC) took part in the presentation of progress for the “Alianzas Climáticas” (Climate Alliances) initiative, held before representatives of Mexico’s Ministry of Energy (SENER) and the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE). The project seeks to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy solutions within key industrial sectors across Nuevo León.

Developed in collaboration with the Danish Energy Agency (Energistyrelsen), the Embassy of Denmark, the Ministry of Environment of Nuevo León, and the State Renewable Energy Agency (AERNL), the initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors to promote cleaner, more efficient industrial operations.

Collaboration for a sustainable industrial transition

By participating in this platform, CLELAC joined other industry clusters and energy leaders to exchange insights, identify challenges, and propose opportunities to enhance sustainability practices within manufacturing. The discussions emphasized the importance of innovation, data-driven energy management, and cross-sector coordination to achieve emission reduction goals.

The session also featured case studies from KENTEK S.A. de C.V. and Trane Technologies, showcasing practical applications of renewable and energy-efficient technologies within the industrial environment. These examples illustrated the potential impact of integrating advanced solutions to reduce carbon footprints and operational costs simultaneously.

Strengthening industry commitment to energy efficiency

For CLELAC, participation in Alianzas Climáticas reaffirms its commitment to supporting a greener and more competitive manufacturing ecosystem in Nuevo León. The cluster continues to work alongside government entities and international partners to develop strategies that combine productivity with environmental responsibility — ensuring that the home appliance industry contributes actively to Mexico’s sustainable energy agenda.
