Chihuahua present at the most important aerospace international fair worldwide

The Ministry of Economic Development (SIDE, by its Spanish initials) and the Aerospace Cluster of the State of Chihuahua participated at the international fair “Farnborough Airshow 2018” in the United Kingdom, the most important aerospace event worldwide.

 The objective of the presence of these organizations is to encourage new projects and increase the direct investment of this state sector.

Within the framework of this summit, the secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Alejandra de la Vega, underlined the importance of generating new projects based on knowledge to encourage and promote the talent of the people of Chihuahua.

She emphasized that in different meeting fulfilled on the British country the visit of approximately 20 French companies to the state was concreted which are looking to invest and integrate to the value chain from the aerospace supply of Chihuahua.

A while ago the English magazine fDi Magazine positioned Chihuahua as the fourth best site – from five – for foreign direct investment (FDI,) of such industrial sector.

 Meanwhile, the Aerospace Cluster of Chihuahua participated thanks to the support from the State and Municipal Governments.  The members of the cluster attended the annual meeting of the “Global Aerospace Cluster Summit” from the Association of European Aerospace Clusters in London, United Kingdom, where they had the opportunity of showing their capabilities and also common interest issues were addressed regarding aerospace industry.

 As result of the participation in such event Chihuahua will receive a commercial mission from France and Michigan on October and November this year.  In addition, they will be working with countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland and the United States to base on each region’s aerospace capabilities organize commercial missions in 2019.
