The Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster reinforced its international positioning through its participation in the Aerospace & Defense Supplier Summit (ADSS) Seattle 2026, held in Seattle, Washington, one of the most important hubs for the global aerospace industry.
In coordination with the Government of the State of Chihuahua and Invest in Chihuahua, the delegation showcased the state’s capabilities in aerospace manufacturing while engaging with key industry players to explore new business opportunities and strengthen bilateral collaboration.
Positioning Chihuahua in a Global Aerospace Hub
Seattle, Washington—home to major aerospace OEMs and suppliers—provides a strategic platform for regions seeking to integrate into high-value global supply chains. Chihuahua’s presence at ADSS reflects a focused effort to position the state within these networks, highlighting its capabilities in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and supplier development.
Through direct engagement with industry leaders, the cluster advanced conversations around investment, partnerships, and the integration of Mexican suppliers into global programs.
Industry Leaders Represent Chihuahua’s Capabilities
The delegation included leading companies from the cluster such as Metal Finishing Company, American Industries, Intermex, Adept Fasteners, Figeac Aerospace, and Clarendon Specialty Fasteners, collectively representing the strength and diversity of Chihuahua’s aerospace ecosystem.
Their participation underscored the maturity of the region’s industrial base and its ability to support complex manufacturing requirements aligned with global aerospace standards.
Promoting Investment and Regional Strengths
As part of the agenda, the Chihuahua delegation participated as a speaker in the Mexico’s Investment Seminar, held at the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle in collaboration with FEMIA.
This forum provided an opportunity to present Chihuahua’s value proposition, including its talent base, manufacturing infrastructure, and strategic advantages for companies seeking to expand operations within North America.
The seminar also served as a platform to reinforce Mexico’s role as a competitive destination for aerospace investment, with Chihuahua positioned as one of its leading hubs.
Strengthening Links with OEMs and Global Supply Chains
A key component of the visit included a strategic tour of Boeing’s facilities, carried out alongside a broader Mexican delegation. This engagement reflects a continued effort to strengthen relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and expand opportunities for supplier integration.
For Chihuahua, this type of interaction is particularly relevant in advancing the development of local suppliers, including small and medium-sized enterprises, within global aerospace value chains.
Advancing Chihuahua’s Aerospace Strategy
Participation in ADSS Seattle 2026 reinforces the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster’s strategy of building stronger international connections, promoting regional capabilities, and supporting the long-term growth of the sector.
By engaging directly in one of the world’s leading aerospace ecosystems, Chihuahua continues to position itself as a reliable, competitive, and globally connected manufacturing hub, contributing to both regional economic development and the strengthening of Mexico’s aerospace industry.
